Everything that’s coming to Netflix Canada in August

Let’s take a look at some of the new titles making their way to Netflix Canada this August.

August 1st – 5th

On August 1st, the first season of The Royal House of Windsor makes its way to Netflix, which is about the history of the Royal family over the last 100 years.

Also coming on the 1st is Opening Night, which is about a failed Broadway singer (played by Topher Grace) who is working as a production manager and must save opening night by rallying up his eccentric cast and crew.

Ex Machina, Jackie, THe Man from U.N.C.L.E, Woman in Gold, Ripper Street Season 5 and Maz Jobrani: Immigrant are some of the other titles arriving on the 1st.

The classic movie, Hook starring the late Robin Williams will be coming to Netflix on August 2nd.

On the 4th, Wet Hot American Summer: 10 Years Later (which will be a limited series) arrives along with season 3 of Voltron: Legendary Defender.

August 6th – 12th

Arriving on August 10th is Ricki and the Flash along with the 1998 remake of Psycho.

On the 11th will see the release of Robert Zemeckis’ WWII film, Allied starring Brad Pitt along with season 1 of the Netflix original, Atypical, which is about Sam, an autistic teen who decides it might be time to find a girlfriend, this sends Sam’s mom on her own life-changing path.

August 13th – 19th

Hook is not the only Peter Pan-themed film coming to Netflix this month, Pan will also be making its way to the streaming service on August 14th.

August 16th sees the release of Lee Daniels’ The Butler on Netflix. The 18th sees the release of season 1 of Marvel’s The Defenders which stars all the heroes from Netflix’s Marvel series such as Daredevil, Jessica Jones, Luke Cage & Iron Fist as they save Hell’s Kitchen.

August 20th – 26th

Nancy Meyers’ The Intern starring Robert De Niro and Anne Hathaway comes to Netflix on August 22nd, along with season 3 of How To Get A Way With Murder and season 4 of The Blacklist.

On the 23rd, Ace Ventura: Pet Detective comes to Netflix and on the 24th, Fences starring Denzil Washington and Viola Davis arrives.

The 25th, see the release of Death Note and season 1 of The Mist.

August 27th – 31st

The 29th of August will see Bring It On: Worldwide #Cheersmack and Ryan Hamilton: Happy Face come to Netflix.

Everything that’s coming to Netflix Canada in October

Things are about to get Stranger this October on Netflix Canada.October sees the premiere of the much-anticipated season 2 of Stranger Things but lets take a look at what else is coming this month. October 1st – 7th To start of the month, we have Black Mass, which stars Johnny Depp as Whitney Bulger, the infamous gangster. Also on the 1st, sees the release of Patriots Day which tells the story of a cop on the day of the Boston Marathon bombing. On the 2nd, we see the release of Mr.Dynamite: The Rise of James Brown which is a documentary about the music icon. On the 5th, we see the release of It Was Fifty Years Ago Today! The Beatles: Sgt Pepper And Beyond which is a “rockumentary” featuring rare archival footage of The Beatles as they create their most iconic album. Everything that’s coming to CraveTV in November

CraveTV has a couple of titles coming in November.Starting on Friday, November 3rd, new episodes of The Beaverton will stream on CraveTV after it premieres on The Comedy Network. New episodes from season 2 will continue to air every Friday.The new Showtime comedy series, SMILF, which is about Bridgette Bird (Frankie Shaw), “a young, single mom from South Boston whose desires for relationships, sex, and a career collide with the realities of working-class single motherhood.” SMILF will air on Sundays starting November 5th at 10pm ET and run for eight episodes. The 2o-episode drama series, The Knick by director Steven Soderbergh will be available for streaming on Friday, November 10th. On November 12th at 10pm ET, is when Long Time Running, the documentary about the iconic Canadian band, The Tragically Hip on their final tour.
