Nintendo Spotlight E3 2017: Everything you need to know

Nintendo made a couple of announcements at E3 2017 including a release date for Super Mario Odyssey, a new Metroid game, a new Yoshi game and more.

Super Mario Odyssey

Nintendo has announced that Super Mario Odyssey will be coming to the Switch on October 27th. It’s a sandbox game that has Mario exploring various worlds with new abilities.

New amiibos

Nintendo revealed some new amiibo figures, with four new Zelda: Breath of the Wild ones and three that are based on Super Mario Odyssey, with Mario, Princess Peach and Bowser in their wedding outfits.

The Super Mario Odyssey amiibos will release in October and be available in a three-pack or individually. The Breath of the Wild amiibos will include, the Goron champion Daruk, the Rito champion Revali, the Zora champion Mipha and the Gerudo champion Urbos, these will release this holiday.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2

Nintendo announced that Xenoblade Chronicles 2 will be coming to the Switch this holiday. The game follows a group of heroes as they travel through the land of Elysium.

Pokémon RPG for Switch

Nintendo announced that a new Pokémon RPG is currently in development for the Switch. No release date has announced.

Pokkén Tournament DX will also be coming to the Switch this fall and is a remaster of the Wii fighting game and will feature new Pokémon and modes.

Metroid Prime 4 for Nintendo Switch

Nintendo announced that a new Metroid game, called Metroid Prime 4 will be coming to the Nintendo Switch. No release date has been announced and Metroid Prime 4 is a working title.

Metroid Samus Returns

In addition to the new Metroid game for the Switch, there will also be a new Metroid game for the 3DS, called Metroid Samus Returns. The game will be coming later this year.

Yoshi for Switch

Nintendo revealed a new game starring Yoshi will be coming to the Switch in 2018. The game features Yoshi running through levels with a number of eggs behind him and there will be papier-mache and cardboard items that can be interacted with.

The new Yoshi game will be made using the Unreal engine.

Kirby for Switch

Yoshi isn’t the only character getting his own game, Nintendo announced that a Kirby game will be coming to the Switch in 2018. Kirby will be joined by up to three teammates, which can be other players for co-op play or enemies.

Fire Emblem Warriors

Nintendo announced that a new Fire Emblem game is coming this fall to the 3Ds and Switch, with Fire Emblem Warriors.

The game won’t be turned-based like past games and there will be both swordsmen and magic users that are playable.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild – The Master Trials

Nintendo announced the release date for the first piece of downloadable content for Breath of the Wild. The Master Trials will release on June 30th.

The second expansion, called The Champion’s Ballad will release by the end of the year.

Rocket League for Switch

Nintendo and Psyonix announced that Rocket League will be coming to the Switch by the end of the year. The Switch version will support local wireless multiplayer so multiple Switch devices can play together in the same room.

There will also be exclusive vehicles and Nintendo-themed items like Mario and Luigi hat for cars. The Switch version of Rocket League will support cross-network play between the Switch and PC. The cross-platform play also works between Xbox One, PC and Switch but not PS4.

Everything that’s coming to Netflix Canada in October

Things are about to get Stranger this October on Netflix Canada.October sees the premiere of the much-anticipated season 2 of Stranger Things but lets take a look at what else is coming this month. October 1st – 7th To start of the month, we have Black Mass, which stars Johnny Depp as Whitney Bulger, the infamous gangster. Also on the 1st, sees the release of Patriots Day which tells the story of a cop on the day of the Boston Marathon bombing. Everything that’s coming to CraveTV in November

CraveTV has a couple of titles coming in November.Starting on Friday, November 3rd, new episodes of The Beaverton will stream on CraveTV after it premieres on The Comedy Network. New episodes from season 2 will continue to air every Friday.The new Showtime comedy series, SMILF, which is about Bridgette Bird (Frankie Shaw), “a young, single mom from South Boston whose desires for relationships, sex, and a career collide with the realities of working-class single motherhood.” SMILF will air on Sundays starting November 5th at 10pm ET and run for eight episodes. The 2o-episode drama series, The Knick by director Steven Soderbergh will be available for streaming on Friday, November 10th.
