Everything that’s coming to Netflix Canada in July

Beat the summer heat by staying indoors and watch what’s new on Netflix Canada this July.

July 1st

On July 1st, Hacksaw Ridge will be making its way to Netflix Canada. It tells the true story of Desmond Doss, who served in WWII during the Battle of Okinawa by refusing to kill anyone and became the first man in American history to receive the Congressional Medal of Honor, without firing a gun.

Batman: Bad Blood, Keeping Up With the Jones, Last Vegas Oasis: Supersonic and Snowden, Southside With You, X-Men: Days of Future Past will all be arriving on the 1st as well.

July 2nd – 8th

On the 3rd of July, Season 3 of Mike Tyson Mysteries will start airing new episodes weekly. Season 1 of the Netflix Original, The Standups will come on July 4th and focuses on 6 free stand-up comedians as they take the stage in LA.

July 6th sees the release of 1990 romantic fantasy thriller, Ghost, starring Patrick Swayze and Demi Moore.

Season 1 of Castlevania comes to Netflix on July 7th.

July 9th – 15th

Season 2 Part B of Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments will start airing new episodes weekly on July 11th.

Also on July 11th, is the release of Pixels, starring Adam Sandler.

Season 1 of the Netflix Original Series, Friends From College will arrive on July 14th, it stars Keegan-Michael Key, Cobie Smulders, and Fred Savage.

Netflix’s Original Documentary, Chasing Coral makes its way to the streaming service on July 14th. It focuses on the coral reefs that are dying on a massive scale.

Also on the 14th, is the release of the Netflix Original, To The Bone, starring Lily Collins. It tells the story of an anorexic who goes on a sometimes funny, sometimes harrowing journey of self-discovery after entering a group home run by an unconventional doctor.

The 14th of July also sees the release of Buddy Thunderstruck: The Maybe Pile, which is a new Netflix Original Series for kids but it also includes an interactive “choose your own adventure” element to it.

Season 4 of West Coast Customs will be coming to Netflix on July 15th.

July 16th – 22nd

On July 18th, Rogue One: A Star Wars Story comes to Netflix Canada.

Coming July 21st is season 1 of the Netflix Original series, Ozark, which stars Jason Bateman and is about a family who struggles after moving to an Ozarks resort community and are thrown into the world of dirty money.

Also on July 21st, season 2 of Last Chance U comes to Netflix, it’s a docuseries that focus on one of the NCAA football’s most fertile recruiting grounds.

July 23rd – 31st

The Incredible Jessica James, a Netflix Original, comes to the service on July 28th. It tells the story of a struggling New York playwright as she makes an unlikely connection with divorced app designer that she met on a blind date.

Also on the 28th, Arrival comes to Netflix, it tells the story of Louise Banks (played by Amy Adams) as she leads an elite team of investigators when enormous alien spaceships arrive on earth.

HTC Vive now $799 in Canada

HTC has announced that they’re dropping the price of their Vive headset by $200, making $799 CAD ($599 USD), down from $1,149 CAD ($799 USD).This is likely in order to better compete with the Oculus Rift which also just recently dropped its price to $549 CAD ($399 USD).Each purchase of a Vive headset comes two base stations and two motion controllers along with a one-month free trial to their Viveport subscription, which allows users play up to five VR titles each month, you also get Google’s Tilt Brush app.“We know price is just one component of a purchase decision, but when you line up all that Vive offers, we’re building a complete VR ecosystem that customers can rely on today and for years to come,” HTC said in a statement.The HTC Vive is available from, Microsoft Store and directly from HTC’s site.Source: HTC

Things are about to get Stranger this October on Netflix Canada.October sees the premiere of the much-anticipated season 2 of Stranger Things but lets take a look at what else is coming this month. October 1st – 7th To start of the month, we have Black Mass, which stars Johnny Depp as Whitney Bulger, the infamous gangster. Also on the 1st, sees the release of Patriots Day which tells the story of a cop on the day of the Boston Marathon bombing.
