Samsung Gear 360 (2017) and DeX are now available in Canada

Just a little over a month after the Galaxy S8’s launch, the Gear 360 (2017) and Samsung’s DeX mobile station are available in Canada.

The new Samsung Gear 360 for 2017 has a more compact and lightweight design and is able to take 360 4K video. There are new enhanced features like expanded compatibility and real-time content sharing, so users can seamlessly share, view and edit their content on the go.

The new Gear 360 has a microSD card slot with support for up to 256GB and is compatible with the Galaxy S8, S8+, S7, S7 Edge, S6, S6 Edge, S6 Edge+, Note 5, A5 (2017) and other Android devices running 5.0 and later and iOS devices running 10.1 and later. 

The Samsung DeX is designed to “provide the ultimate productivity for mobile professionals while reducing the need to carry multiple computing devices.” The DeX gives users a desktop-like experience and users can easily access apps, documents and reply to messages, all with the added convenience of a larger display, keyboard and mouse.


Both the DeX and Gear 360 (2017) are compatible with the Galaxy S8 and S8+. The Gear 360 (2017) will retail for $349 CAD while the DeX dock will go for $249 CAD.
