Google Assistant reportedly coming to iOS

It’s only been a few months since the Google Assistant first launched, and it’s already on so many devices but Google could be bringing it to iPhone users.

A trusted source told Android Police ,that Google will be bringing their Assistant to iOS. The announcement could be come as early as Google I/O, which is later this week.

It’s not absolutely clear what Google’s plans are but it’s said that it will come as a separate app and blend “chat style” functionality like how the Assistant is integrated into Google Allo and the voice-control version of the Assistant found on most Android device.

And with the new Google Assistant SDK that was announced last month, we’ll be seeing the Google Assistant on even more devices.

The app would be US only at launch and Google I/O is the perfect place to announce something like this, since it’s all about Google. It would also bring the Assistant to the second-largest mobile OS in the world and would encourage more developers.
