Instagram now lets you to share multiple photos and video in one post

Instagram has been introducing lots of new changes over the past year, including live-streaming and to posting photos and videos that only last 24 hours (to try to compete with Snapchat).

Instagram’s latest feature allows users to post multiple photos and video to a single post. Previously this feature was only available to advertisers.

When you are uploading, you’ll be given the option to select up to 10 photos or videos and they will appear in one post as an album carousel.

You’ll also be able to change the filter to all photos and videos in the album or to each individual item and can change the order and add Instagram Boomerang videos. The only downside is that photos and video in the album posts will be square and can only have one caption.

I personally welcome this new feature, if you’ve ever taken a look at my Instagram account, I post quite a few picture of drawing and sketches I’ve done. I usually am using another picture for reference and before I would post one of just my sketch and then another post with the sketch and the source image in a collage (using Instagram’s Layout app) but with the album posts, I won’t have to do that.

The update is rolling out now on Android and iOS, as of writing this post, I’ve already gotten the update.
