The Superbook turns your Android smartphone into a laptop for $99

There’s been devices in the past that would try and turn your Android smartphone into a laptop (Motorola Atrix anyone?) but that was back when Android smartphones were severely underpowered. But smartphones have come along way since then and they’re more powerful than ever.

So why not put that power to good use. Introducing the Superbook, it can turn your Android smartphone into a laptop and it starts at $99 USD. The Superbook is a smart laptop shell with a 11.6-inch 1080p screen (which as of this writing, was a stretch goal that was unlocked).

You’ll also find a keyboard, a multi-touch trackpad and a battery that can last for 10 hours and charge your phone. To use the Superbook, all you have to do is plug in your Android phone running Android 5.0 or later using USB Type-C or micro USB and that’s it.

It works in a similar way to how Microsoft’s Continuum feature works in Windows 10.

The laptop shell is being powered by Andromium OS which is an app that can help bring Android to a larger screen.
